Description: South Canterbury District Te Puna Whaihua is a Maori Health provider service. Our aim is to provide Te Pae Mahutonga (health promotion) activities, developing key personal care plans, offer inspirational support. Highlighting te pae mahutonga from a Maori perspective by encouraging auahi-kore well-being in our community. We also provide Nicotine Replacement therapy patches or gum.

Descriptions: South Canterbury District Health Board Area "SCDHB Smokefree Facilitators provide smoking cessation services for the community. Services being developed include Community based cessation support groups 1-on-1 community clinics and community co-ordination for cessation services. Clients can be referred by their health professional or can self refer. All clinics are free of charge, although Nicotine Replacement is provided via the Quitline scheme at their usual cost (currently $5 for first 4 weeks treatment and $10 for second 4 weeks). We aim to provide information, advice and support to anyone who is contemplating changing their smoking or are wanting to become smokefree.
